Philip Devey was born in Lachute on may 31st 1977. He hits and pitches left handed. He's 6 feet tall and weighs 175 pounds.
He played in Lachute from 1984 to 1992 in Parc Richelieu.
He then played his junior AA Baseball with the St Eustache Bisons of the LBÉQ.
In 1998, while pitching in the Cape Cod league, he becomes friend with two of Baseball good pitchers: Barry Zito and Ben Sheets.
In 1999, while pitching for the Southwestern Louisiana University Ragin Cajuns he gets drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the fifth round.
The same year he was named two times the National Collegiate player of the week.
He's the all time leader in strikeouts, fourth in wins and third in games pitched for the University of Southwestern Louisiana.
He pitch seven seasons in the minor and got as high as AAA level.
He was also on the 2004 Canadian summer Olympic games team.
He threw 6 innings without giving up a run against Australia in a 11-0 win.
He's now retired from baseball and he is the co-owner of a sport centre in Lafayette, Louisiana.
